Manufacturing Excellence

Manufacturing Process

ASCE 25 rails are produced through hot rolling process, followed by normalization and controlled cooling, to ensure that their hardness, toughness, and other properties meet ASTM standards for rail microstructure and mechanical performance.

Dimensional Accuracy

Advanced laser profilometry and ultrasonic gauges are used in-line to monitor head height and profile. Cross-sections are continuously matched to ASCE CAD references for geometric consistency.

Testing & Certification

Each batch undergoes ultrasonic, dimensional, and hardness testing. Factory test reports are provided, and third-party inspections can be arranged upon client request for added quality assurance.

ASCE 25 Rail Typical Applications

ASCE 25 rail is designed for light-duty track systems where easy handling, flexible installation, and moderate load requirements are important. Its lightweight profile makes it suitable for industrial, mining, material handling, and selected light crane applications.

Mining & Underground Tracks

ASCE 25 rail can be used for light-duty mining tracks, underground transportation systems, and temporary rail lines in open-pit mining areas. Its lightweight profile makes rail sections easier to handle and install where working space is limited or track layouts need to be adjusted frequently.

For temporary mining operations, the rail can be cut, drilled, bent, or relocated according to project requirements. Material grades and surface treatments can also be selected based on the operating environment.

Factory & AGV Material Handling Systems

In factories, workshops, and warehouses, ASCE 25 rail can be used for material handling carts, handcarts, rail-guided AGVs, and other light-duty transportation equipment. Its compact profile supports flexible track layouts and can simplify installation when production lines or material flow routes need to be changed.

For light equipment applications, rail selection should be based on actual wheel loads, operating speed, track support, and service conditions rather than equipment weight alone.

Tourist Railways & Scenic Transportation

ASCE 25 rail can be considered for lightweight tourist railway tracks, sightseeing trains, and scenic transportation systems where low-speed operation and easy track installation are important. Its lightweight profile makes the rail easier to handle and install, making it suitable for compact routes in parks, resorts, and other recreational areas.

For outdoor scenic railway projects, rail selection should consider vehicle weight, wheel load, operating speed, track gauge, curve radius, and supporting conditions. Surface protection can also be specified for projects exposed to rain or humid environments.

Rail Components You May Need

Looking for a complete rail solution? We also supply compatible components and systems

Rail Fasteners & Clips

Weldable clips, adjustable rail clamps, rail spikes, bolts, and other fastening solutions are available for securing ASCE 25 rail to different supporting structures.

Fish Plates

Fish plates, also known as joint bars, are used to connect adjacent ASCE 25 rail sections and maintain alignment at rail joints. Matching 4-hole joint bars can be supplied in different lengths, typically around 300–500 mm, depending on the required drilling pattern and connection design.

Steel sloeplates

Steel soleplates provide a stable support surface between the rail and its supporting structure. They help distribute wheel loads, maintain rail alignment, and provide a reliable base for rail fastening.

Rubber Pads

Rubber rail pads are installed beneath the rail to reduce vibration, impact, and operating noise while providing a protective layer between the rail and its supporting structure. Different materials and thicknesses can be supplied according to track and noise-reduction requirements.

Alternative & Upgrade Rail Models

If ASCE 25 does not match your required load, rail standard, or project specifications, other rail profiles may be considered. The appropriate alternative depends on wheel load, track design, operating conditions, and applicable standards.

Higher-Capacity ASCE Option

ASCE 30 rail weighs approximately 15.2 kg/m and provides a higher-weight option within the ASCE series for applications requiring greater rail capacity than ASCE 25.

Comparable Lightweight Option

GB 12kg/m light rail is similar in weight class to ASCE 25 and can be considered for light-duty industrial, mining, and material handling tracks where a GB-standard rail is preferred.

JIS Standard Option

JIS 15kg rail is a lightweight rail option for projects requiring a Japanese Industrial Standard profile and can be considered for selected industrial and material handling applications.

Comparable Lightweight DIN Option

S14 light rail weighs approximately 14 kg/m, making it a comparable lightweight option to ASCE 25. Manufactured to DIN 5901, it can be considered for light-duty industrial, mining, and material handling tracks where a DIN-standard rail is preferred.
