WJK Rail Clamp (Welding Type Rail Clip)
WJK rail clamp, also known as a welding type rail clip, is a standard fixture used for fixing crane rails onto steel beams. The clamp consists of a top cover, base, adjusting pin, bolt, and nut set. It is welded to a pre-embedded steel plate, providing a strong and reliable connection for industrial crane tracks and heavy-duty rail systems.
WJK series covers models TG38 / TG43 / TG50 / TG60 / QU70 / QU80 / QU100 / QU120, suitable for light, heavy, and crane rails. Materials include ductile cast iron and cast steel, with bolt grades from 4.8 to 8.8, ensuring durability and load-bearing performance in high-stress environments.
WJK rail clamp Components
The WJK Welded Rail Clamp features a robust and simple two-part design, ensuring reliable and long-lasting performance. The complete set includes all necessary components for a secure installation.
The WJK Rail Clamp set includes:
- Cast Steel Base Plate
- Cast Steel Top Cover
- Adjustment Plate (Pin)
- T-Bolt, Nut, Washers(Spring & Flat Washer)
Note on Installation: The system requires the base plate to be welded onto asteel plate on your support structure (e.g., steel beam). We can provide technical guidance to ensure a correct and secure installation.
WJK Rail Clamp Types & Dimensions
The WJK welded rail clamp features a simple yet durable structure, consisting of a top cover, base plate, adjustment pin, and fastening bolt set.
The following diagram illustrates the clamp’s layout in cross-section and top view, showing how each component works together to secure the rail.
The dimension table provides detailed specifications for different rail types, ensuring proper selection and installation accuracy.

WJK Rail clamps Family Introduction
Glory Track offers three types of WJK welding rail clamps designed for different crane rail applications — standard, compact, and reinforced.
Standard Type — WJK
The standard WJK rail clamp is the most widely used model in China for fixing rails on steel crane beams.
Material: Q235 (Bolt Grade C) or Q345 (Bolt Grade 8.8)
Max lateral load: 45–55 kN per wheel load point
Installation height: up to 81 mm
This type is suitable for general crane runways and industrial tracks.
Compact Type — SWJK
The compact WJK (SWJK) is designed for installations with limited height.
Material: Q345
Bolt: Grade 8.8 high-strength
Max lateral load: 40 kN
Installation height: 71 mm
Ideal for low-profile crane systems or where the top clearance is restricted.
Reinforced Type — HWJK
The reinforced HWJK clamp is used with elastic composite rubber pads under the rail base to reduce vibration.
Types: Standard reinforced (81 mm) / Compact reinforced (71 mm)
Material: Q235 or Q345
Bolt Grade: C / 8.8
Max lateral load: 40–45 kN
Recommended for cranes with a lifting capacity over 30 tons and heavy-duty working cycles.
Installation of WJK Rail Clamp
Proper installation is key to achieving the designed performance.
Step-by-Step Procedure:
- Preparation: Ensure the support structure has pre-embedded steel plates.
- Welding: Weld the base plate onto the pre-embedded plate with three-sided fillet welds.
- Positioning: Place the steel rail into the fixed base plates.
- Assembly: Follow the sequence: Insert Bolt → Adjustment Plate → Top Cover → Flat Washer → Spring Washer → Nut.
- Spacing: Install pairs of clamps on both sides of the rail at intervals of 500-600mm.
- Final Tightening: Tighten the T-bolt until the spring washer is fully compressed. Ensure the rail joint height difference is within 2mm.
Tightening torque Q ≤275t(150N.m)
Tightening torque 220N.m for heavy duty crane.

FAQ— WJK Rail Clamp
Can WJK clamps be used on concrete beams?
→ Yes, but it requires pre-embedding steel plates with anchor bolts into the concrete at the designated positions to weld the clamps onto.
What is the difference between WJK, SWJK,HWJK rail clamps?
- WJK is the standard welded rail clamp, widely used for securing crane rails to steel beams.
- SWJK is a compact version designed for installations with height limitations (maximum mounting height 71 mm).
- HWJK features a thickened base, ideal for rail systems with an elastic composite rubber pad under the rail.
Which material option should I choose?
→ For most standard applications, the Q235 material with 8.8 grade bolts is recommended for its higher safety margin and durability.
Do you offer custom packaging or labeling?
→ Yes, we can provide custom packaging and branding for large-volume orders. Please contact us for details.
