Technical Structure & Design
All 9-series and W-series welded rail clips are made of five key components:
- Flange nut
- Forged steel clip
- Vulcanized rubber block
- Weldable base
- Captive bolt
Each welded clip set comes with a complete bolt assembly. Standard hot-dip galvanization is applied to the top cover and bolts, while the base remains uncoated to allow for welding. For customers ordering steel base plates, we can pre-weld the clip and apply galvanization for ready-to-install solutions.
Note: All clips come with vulcanized rubber blocks for vibration damping, reducing noise and mechanical wear under heavy load conditions.

Installation of Welded Rail Clips
Efficient Installation
Glory Track’s welded rail clips are designed for permanent and secure installation. Each clip base must be welded all around except the side closest and parallel to the rail. Use a 4–5 mm throat thickness fillet weld with low hydrogen electrodes on weldable grade steel. Continuous welds around the base are also possible.
Torque Specifications
After welding, flange nuts must be tightened according to the specific rail clip model to ensure correct clamping pressure and long-term stability.
- 9116 / 9216: 125 Nm
- W116 / W216: 200 Nm
- 9120 / 9220: 200 Nm
- W120 / W220 / W20-221: 350 Nm
Applying the correct torque ensures the welded rail clips achieve full clamping performance and prevents loosening under vibration or heavy crane operations.

- If rail pads are installed under the rails, select short tongues (short vulcanized rubber blocks).
- Without rail pads, use long tongues (long vulcanized rubber blocks) for optimal performance.
