Jurong Port Rail System Singapore RMC Project

Jurong Port rail system supplied by Glory Track with P50 rails and 1615 clamps

In 2022, Glory Track successfully supplied a complete Jurong Port rail system for the Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) facility in Singapore.
The project was designed to support the daily loading and unloading operations of concrete materials, requiring a durable, precisely aligned, and corrosion-resistant rail system that could maintain stability under long-term exposure to the port’s humid and salty environment.

Project Overview

The Jurong Port RMC project adopted P50 crane rails combined with 1615 welded-type rail clamps, forming a track system installed on H-beams.
Each clamp base was welded directly to the beam surface, providing a secure connection and ensuring precise rail alignment during long-term operation.

To meet the project’s high standards for corrosion resistance, all rail materials and accessories underwent hot-dip galvanizing and anti-corrosion coating treatment.
The rail clamp bolts were made from Grade 8.8 high-strength steel, ensuring stable fastening even under frequent load movement and vibration in port conditions.

Technical Details

  • Rail clamp type: 1615 welded-type rail clamp
  • Installation base: H-beam structure
  • Bolt specification: Grade 8.8 high-strength bolts
  • Surface treatment: Hot-dip galvanized + anti-corrosion coating
  • Inspection authority: Bureau Veritas (BV)
  • Inspection scope: Dimensional accuracy, surface quality, zinc coating thickness
  • Project length: 4,500 meters
  • Rail quantity: 211 tons of P50 rail
  • Clamp sets: 20,000 sets of 1615 rail clamps
  • Project value: Over USD 420,000

Quality Inspection

Before shipment, all supplied materials underwent a third-party inspection by Bureau Veritas (BV).
The BV inspectors verified the rail dimensions, surface finish, straightness, and coating thickness to ensure that every product met both EN and project-specific quality requirements.

The zinc coating thickness and surface treatment quality were especially emphasized due to the port’s high-humidity environment.
Inspection reports confirmed that all components met the required specifications, guaranteeing excellent long-term corrosion resistance and dimensional accuracy.
